Super Rooster Sampler Script Complete!

Good news! Unbelievable though it may seem, I have completed the first draft of the Super Rooster Sampler Script! Here is a glimpse of some of the pages of the draft.

Also, the story now has a name! Never more will I refer to it as the "Super Rooster Sampler," but the story is now called "The Fire Wand*."

So, now that I've finished the script for The Fire Wand (though I think the dialogue could use some improvement,) it's time to start production of the actual comic!

Last Week of School

Hey, folks! This is my last week of school! During the Summer, things will be a bit different around here.

1. No school. This means more time to draw comics and write posts!
2. No school laptop. This may mean LESS posts and updates.
3. I'll be going to a lot of camps over the summer. This means that there will be whole weeks without posts, and a lot of delays and/or guest authors for Rabbit and Robot.
4. A new header image for the blog. You all must be sick of seeing that same snake, bird, and flowers every time you visit the site by now, eh?

Well, I'll be missing school (call me insane if you like), but I sure can't wait for vacation! See you soon.

Another Super Rooster Sampler Preview

To refresh your memory, the "Super Rooster Sampler" is a short Super Rooster story I'm creating to show people when I start looking for publishers.

Basically, I go up to a publisher and say, "I'm working on a comic called 'Super Rooster', could you publish it?" and they want to know what the comic is, so I show them the story. Once a find a publisher, I start working on the official series.

Rabbit and Robot #11

Here's an interesting story. When I drew this comic, I didn't like the way I drew panels 6 and 7. They originally looked like this (click to enlarge).


Now, for some reason, I really didn't like these panels. So much, in fact, that I decided to literally "Cut and Paste" new panels in.

So then I had two big holes in my comic. I put the comic onto a sheet of blank paper, drew the new and improved panels, and taped them onto the comic (so I guess I didn't actually "paste" them, but you get the idea.

I guess this goes to show what trouble I go in to make these comics. That's all for today.
